Prayer for Someone Who Is Sick
A prayer entrusting a sick loved one to Christ the healer.
Lord Jesus, you went about doing good and healing every illness. Look with love on N., who is sick. Give strength to their body, courage to their spirit and peace to their heart. Guide the hands of those who care for them. If it is your will, restore them to health; and in all things, let them know they are held in your love. Mary, health of the sick, pray for them. Amen.
About this prayer
Jesus spent much of his ministry healing the sick (Matthew 4:23), and the Church continues that care through prayer and the Anointing of the Sick (James 5:14-15). Say the person's name in place of "N."
