Throughout Scripture God revealed himself in masculine terms. Jesus spoke of his Father and taught us to pray "Our Father," was himself a man, and spoke of the Holy Spirit as "he."

Throughout Scripture God has revealed himself in masculine terms. Jesus often spoke of his "Father" and taught his disciples to pray "Our Father" (Matthew 6:9-13). Jesus himself was a man, and he said of the Holy Spirit that "he" will teach you everything (John 14:26).
