What will our resurrected bodies be like?
The short answer
The bodies of the just will be transformed on the pattern of the risen Christ: in their prime, incapable of suffering, spiritual (though not pure spirit), agile in obeying the soul, free of deformity, and reflecting God's beauty as our souls do.
Like Christ's risen body
At the resurrection the bodies of the just will be remodeled and transfigured on the pattern of the risen Christ.
Their qualities
- In the prime of life.
- Incapable of suffering.
- Spiritual — not pure spirit, but like Jesus' body, which could pass through closed doors.
- Agile, obeying the soul with ease and speed, so the flesh is no longer weak.
- Free of all deformity, reflecting God's beauty to the degree our souls do.
