Did Judas go to hell?
The short answer
We cannot say with certainty. Jesus' words — "woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed. It would be better for that man if he had never been born" — imply that Judas was lost, but we cannot know whether he repented before he died.
Jesus' words
Jesus said, "woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed. It would be better for that man if he had never been born" (Matthew 26:24).
What they imply
This statement implies that Judas's final destination was hell.
Why we can't be certain
We cannot know whether Judas repented of his sins before he died, so it cannot be said with certainty that he is in hell.
